Waters Full of Wonder
ABOUT THE BOOK
From Creation to the Great Commission, water has witnessed some of the greatest miracles in history. In this beautifully illustrated, rhyming picture book, the water itself takes you on a journey through thirteen biblical stories — the flood, baby Moses in the reeds, the parting of the Red Sea, the baptism of Jesus, and more.
My prayer is that these stories will lead to profound conversations with your kids, no matter their age! It is our duty to raise our children in the way of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6). I pray this book sparks some great conversations in your home!
INSIDE LOOK
Creation
Parting of the Red Sea
The beautiful story of Creation is a wonderful way to have deep conversations about God as a wonderful creator, who made us in His own image.
This story is so fascinating and can have your little ones asking a ton of questions! Let this be a time to talk with them about God's faithfulness, miraculous power, and unwavering commitment to set His people free from the slavery that holds us all back.
Cast your net wide
One of Jesus's first miracles in the New Testament is an amazing way to chat with your kiddos about obedience, even when it doesn't make sense. This story illuminates the power God has over creation and how all things point to His glory.
Empty Tomb to the Great Commission
The book wraps up by showing the empty tomb, which gives us the hope we have today — proof of our resurrected Christ, who defeated death. This truth led the disciples to different parts of the globe to share this Good News! Let this be a time to explain why this truth plays such a crucial role in our faith.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
My name is Alex Fernandez and I am a follower of Christ, a husband, and a dad of three. I am a first-time author, and my idea for Waters Full of Wonder was born during bedtime Bible reading with my kids. I was awestruck as I watched them experience the wonder and beauty woven through every page of God's word. When I am not writing, you'll find me chasing around the little ones (James, Emma & Andrew), playing pickleball with my wife Leah or working my day job in finance.
